‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ Worldwide Box Office: Pawan Kalyan-starrer Becomes Third-Highest Telugu Grosser Of 2026
By Sakshi Navare
Pawan Kalyan’s “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” which released last Thursday amid humongous buzz among the audience, has been underperforming at the box office, especially on weekdays. In six days, the massy actioner has grossed ₹87.40 crore globally, as per Sacnilk. While the film was expected to cross the 100 crore mark in its extended opening week itself, the mixed word-of-mouth impacted its business apart from the dominance of Ranveer Singh-starrer “Dhurandhar 2.”
However, the film has emerged as the third highest Telugu grosser of the year after Chiranjeevi’s “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu” (₹303.76 crore) and Prabhas’s “The Raja Saab (₹206.57 crore). “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” has surpassed Naveen Polishetty’s “Anaganaga Oka Raju” (₹83.82 crore) to achieve this feat at the ticket windows.
While the film will cross the ₹100 crore mark at the global box office, it has turned out to be another disappointing affair for Tollywood this year after “The Raja Saab.” Considering the buzz and box office performance, it looks very tough for the Harish Shankar directorial to survive another week at the ticket windows.
Before the release, when director Harish Shankar was asked about his film competing with “Dhurandhar 2,” he told Variety India, “Even during the festive weekend of Pongal, when multiple films are released, I don't see one film to another film as a competitive thing because I think it's a celebration of cinema, not a competition of cinema.” “
Ustaad Bhagat Singh” also stars Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna and R. Parthiban in prominent roles.
