‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ Box Office: Pawan Kalyan-starrer Crashes On Monday
By Sakshi Navare
Pawan Kalyan's “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” has turned out to be a dismal affair at the box office. The big-budget entertainer, which opened to ₹25 crore on its first day, coinciding with Ugadi (Telugu New Year), crashed to single-digit numbers on the following days.
After an underwhelming first weekend, the movie crashed on Monday, earning merely ₹1.96 crore, according to Sacnilk. Considering the current scenario, the fate of Harish Shankar directorial looks disappointing at the ticket windows with no footfalls expected from cinegoers. In fact, the film might find it difficult to get a good number of screens in the next week in the Telugu-speaking states.
Apart from the mixed word-of-mouth, “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” is also impacted by the phenomenal performance of Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar: The Revenge,” which released simultaneously at the box office.
Interestingly, Pawan’s 2025 biggie “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” witnessed a similar pattern at the box office by enjoying a good opening day (₹34.75 crore) and nosediving on Monday (₹2.10 crore), thus emerging as an unsuccessful film at the ticket windows.
Talking about “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” the film marks the reunion of Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan after “Gabbar Singh,” which was an industry hit.
The film also features Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, B. S. Avinash, Gautami and Chammak Chandra in pivotal roles, with Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman S composing the music and score.
“Ustaad Bhagat Singh” is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and distributed by AGS Entertainment, Prathyangira Cinemas and DreamZ Entertainment.
