Anyone who follows K-Pop is aware of terms like “fourth gen” or “fifth gen” (generation). It is said that the Korean pop music industry began in the early 1990s. The upcoming June 2026 film, “Wild Sing,” talks about a K-Pop trio ‘Triangle,’ from the 90s that makes a wild comeback in current times. Gang Dong-won, Park Ji-hyun and Um Tae-goo are the main stars of the film. Fans are shocked to see the transition of the main actors for the role. Gang Dong-won (45), who was last seen as a tough mercenary in Disney+ show “Tempest,” plays Hyun-woo, the lead dancer. It seems the actor spent two years learning B-boying for the role. The actor, who is one of the top South Korean movie stars, comes from a modeling background. From growing his hair and coloring it blond to shedding a lot of weight, his transformation is unbelievable.
The actor seems to be carrying the look even off-screen. People who saw his latest pictorial were surprised to see how he went back to looking like he was in his 20s. Gang Dong-won, a heartthrob, has sent admirers swooning all over again.

It seems they spent two years preparing for their roles. Gang Dong-won is presently shooting for a Netflix series, “Hon,” that sees him pairing with “Goblin” actress Kim Go-eun for the first time.
