‘The Kerala Story 2’ Box-Office: Ulka Gupta and Aditi Bhatia starrer Crosses ₹10 Crore Mark Over The First Weekend

“The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond” featuring Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia and Aishwarya Ojha in leading roles, released on its original release date after the stay on the film was lifted by the Kerala High Court.
The screening of the film started at night on release day as the clearance came in the evening. While the opening day was affected because of that, “The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond” witnessed an upward trend on Saturday and Sunday.
The movie raked in merely ₹0.65 crore on its first day, but witnessed a turnaround on its 2nd and 3rd day by collecting ₹4.65 crore and ₹5 crore respectively.

The opening weekend collections of “The Kerala Story 2” stand at ₹10.30 crore, which is much higher than Taapsee Pannu’s Assi and Siddhant Chaturvedi-Mrunal Thakur starrer “Do Deewane Seher Mein.” The two releases arrived in cinema halls a week before “The Kerala Story 2”
Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the banner of Sunshine Pictures. “The Kerala Story 2” also stars Sumit Gahlawat, Arjan Singh Aujla, Yuktam Kholsa and Alka Amin in supporting roles.
The Hindi release has been in controversy for its subject and themes and had to deal with legal processes and political debate.
The movie narrates the story of three young women who fall into what the film describes as deceptive marriages and face alleged forced religious conversions. The movie is written by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Amarnath Jha.
