Shakira Says ‘Performing In India Has Always Been Special’ And Yet, Returns… 19 Years Later
It's been close to two decades since Shakira last visited India. The "Whenever, Wherever" hitmaker returns to Indian shores 19 years after her last performance in Mumbai in 2007, when she was promoting her 'Oral Fixation' album. This time around, she is headlining the Feeding India Concert 2026 in Mumbai and Delhi, ticketed by District.
The global pop icon and multiple Grammy Award winner's headlining shows have been announced: in Mumbai on April 10 and in Delhi on April 15. While this is the third edition of the concert, the 2026 edition marks the first time the first time it will be held across multiple cities. While the superstar brings her trademark electrifying live performance to a new generation, this time around, her participation in this event is set to amplify national dialogue around hunger and malnutrition.

Shakira isn't just known for chart-topping songs, but also her philanthropic pursuits. Through her Barefoot Foundation, the Colombian superstar has championed education and child welfare for vulnerable
communities worldwide, a mission that aligns with the Feeding India Concert's vision of a hunger and malnutrition-free nation.

The Feeding India concert venues are Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Mumbai (Apr. 10) and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi (Apr. 15). Opening acts will be announced in coming days on Feeding India and District's social pages.
