‘Scream 7’ Worldwide Box Office: The Slasher Flick Sets New Franchise Records; Emerges Third Highest Grosser Of 2026
Despite garnering mixed reviews, the American slasher film, “Scream 7” has become the highest grosser in the franchise. The new installment has grossed $176.9 million, as per Box Office Mojo, surpassing the franchise’s previous record holders “Scream” (1996), which collected ‘$173 million and “Scream 2” (1997), which earned $172 million.
Out of the total collections, the domestic market has contributed $106.5 million, while it raked in $70.4 million in the overseas circuits.
Apart from being the highest grosser in the franchise, it has trumped “Blades of the Guardians” ($168.4 million) to enter the top 3 global grossers of 2026. “Pegasus 3” and “Wuthering Heights” have grabbed the first two spots with $531.9 million and $226.4 million, respectively.
