‘Scream 7’ Worldwide Box Office: The Slasher Flick Sets New Franchise Records; Emerges Third Highest Grosser Of 2026
Despite garnering mixed reviews, the American slasher film, “Scream 7” has become the highest grosser in the franchise. The new installment has grossed $176.9 million, as per Box Office Mojo, surpassing the franchise’s previous record holders “Scream” (1996), which collected ‘$173 million and “Scream 2” (1997), which earned $172 million.
Out of the total collections, the domestic market has contributed $106.5 million, while it raked in $70.4 million in the overseas circuits.
Apart from being the highest grosser in the franchise, it has trumped “Blades of the Guardians” ($168.4 million) to enter the top 3 global grossers of 2026. “Pegasus 3” and “Wuthering Heights” have grabbed the first two spots with $531.9 million and $226.4 million, respectively.

Directed by Kevin Williamson, the plot of the latest part follows a new Ghostface killer who targets Sidney Prescott's daughter. It features Neve Campbell, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard and Courteney Cox reprising their roles with Isabel May, Anna Camp, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Celeste O'Connor, Sam Rechner, Mark Consuelos, Tim Simons and Joel McHale as new additions to the cast.
