In his conversation with Variety India, Hirani revealed that he is, in fact, excited about the possibilities A.I. presents. Hirani shares, “I’m excited about all things A.I. and I want to make a short A.I. film… So, it is going to be a great tool, actually. We should start becoming friends with it very soon. It’s here to stay. It’s not that you have to use it or that you have to make a totally A.I. film.
"But we can use that to fill [sic] many things we couldn’t do earlier. It will make things cost-effective. And it’s not that a full-fledged A.I. film is easy to make. Okay, you're not going on set, but it's time-consuming; making a full AI film requires considerable effort.”
Hirani further clarified that this would be an experiment rather than a feature-length venture. “I am planning to make a short, four to five-minute, film. Because I have a story to tell, and secondly, because I feel I can learn that way the best. So, while I’m writing, I’ll do that in the next few months. I have a good story. I’ll have something interesting,” he said.
It will be interesting to see what Hirani has in store and how fans react to his foray into AI-driven filmmaking.
