‘Project Hail Mary’ Box Office: Ryan Gosling Starrer Becomes 2026’s First Hollywood Success in India
Ryan Gosling’s “Project Hail Mary” has emerged as the biggest Hollywood grosser in India this year, powering past "Hoppers" (₹6 cr lifetime; net figures). PHM achieved this despite facing a screen crunch, thanks to "Dhurandhar: The Revenge"'s continued dominance in its second week. Over its four-day weekend, the space-fi flick amassed ₹15.76 crore net in India.
The film, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, was released on only six IMAX screens in India on Day 1. However, heavy audience demand prompted IMAX to premiere the film across all its screens starting the second day. The film collected ₹2.46 crore net on Thursday, followed by ₹3.15 crore on Friday, ₹5 crore on Saturday and ₹5.15 crore on Sunday for a total weekend of ₹15.76 crore net and ₹18.6 crore gross.
