‘Peddi Won’t Be Late’: Ram Charan Assures Fans Film Will Release as Scheduled

Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s pan-India sports action drama “Peddi” is one of the most-awaited films of the year. While it is scheduled to hit the screens on April 30, there have been multiple reports hinting at a delay.

However, the actor has scotched all speculations about the film's release by confirming that the “Peddi” release will be as scheduled. 

Appearing at the promo event of “Raakaasa,” Ram Charan told the film’s team during the interaction, “Promote your film well, ‘Peddi’ won’t be late."

In "Peddi," he plays the role of a wrestler who unites a village through sports to fight an archenemy. The recent glimpse of the film that released on the actor’s 41st birthday impressed fans and cinegoers.

The glimpse video begins with a voiceover that says, “Kusthi (wrestling) is not a sport where you carry a bat and face an oncoming ball. This is a sport where you pledge your life and stand against death. Now tell me, are you going to get into the ring, or are you opting out?”

This is the first time Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor have been paired together. Fans are also excited as late Sridevi(Janhvi's mother) and megastar Chiranjeevi (Ram Charan's father )worked together in many memorable movies.

“Peddi,” which also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani, is directed by Buchi Babu Sana of “Uppena.” A. R. Rahman has composed the album of the film.

The film is bankrolled by Venkata Satish Kilaru and Ishan Saksena under the banners of Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment.
