Oscars 2026: When and Where To Watch the 98th Academy Awards In India
The biggest night of the awards season is approaching in just 10 days as the 98th Academy Awards (Oscars) 2026 will be held on March 15, 2026 at the world famous Dolby Theatre. The ceremony will celebrate the best achievements in cinema from across the world, bringing together filmmakers, actors and artists for one of the most anticipated nights in the global film calendar. As always, the event will be watched live by audiences across several countries.
In India, the Oscars 2026 will be telecast on the morning of March 16, 2026. The red carpet coverage for the event begins at 3:30 a.m. IST, while the main ceremony is scheduled to start at 5:30 a.m. IST. Indian viewers will be able to watch the ceremony live on the streaming platform JioHotstar. After the live broadcast concludes, the ceremony will also be available to watch later on the platform through video on demand for those who miss the early morning telecast.

This year’s ceremony will once again be hosted by Emmy winning comedian and late night television veteran Conan O'Brien. It marks the second consecutive year that O’Brien will take on hosting duties at the Oscars. Meanwhile, executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan return for their third year in a row to oversee and produce the show.
The nominations roster this year is particularly competitive, with several films dominating the conversation throughout the awards season. “Sinners”, directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, leads the race with an impressive 16 nominations, setting a new record for the highest number of nominations received by a single film in Oscars history.
It is followed by “One Battle After Another” with 13 nominations. “Marty Supreme” and “Sentimental Value” have both secured nine nominations each, while Hamnet follows closely behind with eight nominations, setting the stage for what promises to be a closely contested awards night.
