‘Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil’ Trailer: Kunchacko Boban’s Sethu Hides a Fugitive, Throwing the Town Into Turmoil
The trailer of the upcoming Malayalam film, “Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil,” was released by the makers on Thursday at an event held in Kochi.
Going by the first poster, director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval seems to be back with another funny yet thought-provoking film. There’s a lot of anticipation for a noteworthy performance by Kunchacko Boban, along with Sajin Gopu and Dileesh Pothan.
The video opens with a brief introduction to Kunchacko Boban's character, Sethu, who lives in an isolated house in the Thiruneli panchayat in Wayanad with his bedridden older brother. He is depicted as a government health office employee who grapples with relationship issues and insecurities. His life is soon flipped upside down when a fugitive, portrayed by Sajin Gopu, shows up and threatens him at gun point to give him a place to stay. In search of this prisoner, Chidambaram(who’s playing him?) shows up as an investigative officer, giving more details of this runaway convict to the residents of this small town. According to the trailer, the focus of this movie is how these experiences permanently alter their lives.

With the trailer launch, the makers have also confirmed that the film will release in theaters soon. However, it is still unclear whether “Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil” will be a Vishu 2026 release.
Kunchacko Boban and Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval are working together for the second time after the success of “Nna Thaan Case Kodu,” which is streaming on JioHotstar. This director is also well known for helming the Suraj Venjaramoodu-starrer “Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25,” which was received well throughout the country. Sharanya, Rajesh Madhavan, and Sudheesh are also playing pivotal roles in “Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil.”
Mollywood’s popular actor Kunchacko Boban's 2026 film lineup includes the comedy "Nere Chovva" and the Mohanlal-Mammootty film "Patriot."
