While the anticipation was already high among cinegoers, the poor performance of “Toxic” gave an additional benefit to the film, as there was no competition at the ticket window. As “Mirzapur: The Movie” has already emerged as a ‘box office hit,’ here’s a look at the benchmark it achieved in its first weekend.
Fourth Biggest Hindi Opener of 2026
With the first-day figure of ₹25.15 crore, the film became the fourth-biggest Hindi opener of the year after “Dhurandhar 2” (₹144.55 crore), “Toxic” Hindi version (55 crore) and “Border 2” (₹30 crore). It has beaten biggies like “Awarapan 2,” “Dhamaal 4” and “Welcome To The Jungle” to achieve this feat.
Fourth Highest-First Weekend Grosser of the year
The action-crime thriller earned ₹93.75 crore in its first three days and became the fourth-highest Hindi opening weekend grosser of the year. The first three spots are grabbed by “Dhurandhar 2” (₹433.04 crore) 4-day weekend, “Toxic” (₹129.50 crore) 5-day weekend and “Border 2” (₹120 crore).

Interestingly, the movie is on its way to becoming the biggest hit of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment. It has emerged as their second-biggest opener after Akshay Kumar’s “Gold” (₹25.25 crore) and overtook biggies like “Gully Boy” and “Raees.”
