Lee Chae Min of ‘Bon Appetit, Your Majesty’ fame to star in drama based on Keigo Higashino’s novel
Lee Chae Min has had an eventful 2025 with shows like “Bon Appetit, Your Majesty” and “Cashero”. Now, reports have come in the Korean media that he is considering a new project. As per a report in the Korean news outlet, SPOTV, he is being considered for a role in the Korean drama adaptation of the famous Japanese novel, “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store”. It seems Lee Chae Min is being considered for the lead role. His management, Varo Entertainment, confirmed that Lee Chae Min is reading the script at present. The young actor pleasantly surprised global audiences with a nuanced performance in “Bon Appetit, Your Majesty”. He followed up that role with a negative avatar in Lee Jun-Ho’s “Cashero”, which was his last release of 2025.
The novel, “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store”, is hailed as one of the best novels of Japanese writer, Keigo Higashino. A Korean production company is planning to adapt it into a drama with ten episodes. The book is about three young men who take shelter in an old store and encounter strange happenings. When they interact with a mysterious entity, secrets get unraveled. The makers are finalising the rest of the cast and a major OTT platform will telecast the series.
Lee Chae Min played Emperor Lee Heon in “Bon Appetit, Your Majesty” and delighted audiences. The drama that aired on Netflix was praised for the fantastic chemistry between Lee Chae Min and Im Yoon-ah.
