Kartik Aaryan Locks Lucrative Release Dates in 2027 for His Three Films

While Kartik Aaryan’s last release, “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri,” has failed to move the box office, he is currently one of the busiest actors in Bollywood. In fact, the actor is eyeing three big releases next year.

‘Naagzilla’: February 12, 2027

Aaryan’s next release is “Naagzilla,” set for the Valentine’s Day weekend next year. Preity Mukhundhan, known for Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films, stars as the female lead.

Originally scheduled for August 14, Independence Day weekend, “Naagzilla” was delayed for extensive VFX and post-production work. Produced by Karan Johar and Mahaveer Jain, it is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, famous for the “Fukrey” franchise.

‘Captain India’: August 13, 2027

After facing several hurdles and delays, the makers of Kartik’s ‘Captain India’ have locked the Independence Day weekend in 2027. While earlier, the film was supposed to be directed by Hansal Mehta, now it will be helmed by Shimit Amin of “Chak De! India,” Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year” and “Ab Tak Chhappan” fame.

It is bankrolled by T-Series and Baweja Studios and is expected to go on floors by June-July.

Anurag Basu or Kabir Khan’s Next

The actor is currently juggling Anurag Basu’s musical drama, co-starring Sreeleela, and Kabir Khan’s sports drama. Talking to Variety India, Basu revealed that he has shot for only 45 days. However, the makers are aiming for its release this year. But it seems difficult for the film to arrive in 2026, considering the production and post-production work remaining.

On the other hand, Kartik Aaryan is playing a kickboxing coach in Kabir’s next collaboration, inspired by a true story. The actor is believed to have undergone intense physical training for his role. He essays a coach who is instrumental in training a young Kashmiri girl, from a conflict-torn region, to participate in the championship. It is expected to be wrapped by October 2026, targeting a theatrical release in mid-2027. Sameer Nair's Applause Entertainment is producing it.

With Holi, Gandhi Jayanti, and Christmas slots remaining vacant in 2027, it would be interesting to see if the actor blocks any of them for the remaining two releases.
