Kaattaan Teaser: Vijay Sethupathi, M.Manikandan Promise A Rural Drama Packed With Action and Entertainment
“Kaattaan” is coming on JioHotstar Tamil from March 27. The Tamil web series is directed by M. Manikandan stars Vijay Sethupathi in the main role. The two have worked together in films like “Aandavan Kattalai” (2016) and “Kadaisi Vivasayi” (2021). The series is about the hunt for “Kaattaan,” a beheaded head that has left people bewildered. As cops keep the head safely, people begin his hunt for the person. We will see Vijay Sethupathi in a fierce avatar. M. Manikandan is trying his hand in the action genre after a while. Vijay Sethupathi has a commendable body of work behind him, especially in the South Indian industry.

Vijay Sethupathi made his debut in the web series space with “Farzi,” which was released in February 2023. He played the role of a cop. Raj and DK directed “Farzi,” which is one of the best shows to come out of India in recent times. “Kaattaan” is packed with intrigue as people are left wondering if the character is a real man, a monster or a mythical creature. The series also stars Milind Soman in an important role.
This year, JioHotstar has strengthened its slate of shows from South India. “Kaattaan” is one of the top names from that line-up. M.Manikandan has an enviable filmography with "Kadaisi Vivasayi" with Sethupathi being one of his most acclaimed projects. His “Kaakkaa Muttai” won the National Award in 2014 for his portrayal of lives of two slum children.
