‘Jailer 2’: Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff and Shivarajkumar Reunite in New Poster
Rajinikanth is ready to return as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, with Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff and Shivarajkumar joining the superstar in a new poster for “Jailer 2”. Unveiled by Sun Pictures on October 14, the poster announces that the action sequel will arrive in theatres the following day, October 15, and urges audiences to book their tickets.
The poster places Rajinikanth at the centre of a stark, futuristic landscape, with the other three actors positioned at a distance around him. Against a hazy skyline of towering structures, the four stars cast long shadows across an expansive, barren stretch of ground.
The visual carries the tagline, “Enter the territory of Tiger Muthuvel Pandian,” foregrounding Rajinikanth’s returning character as the film prepares to reach cinemas.

The new artwork also brings together four of the franchise’s major star attractions. Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff and Shivarajkumar return following their appearances in the first “Jailer”, which became a major box office success upon its release in 2023. Their presence in the sequel continues the franchise’s ensemble approach, with Rajinikanth once again leading the action drama.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, “Jailer 2” is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film follows the success of the original, which centred on retired police officer Muthuvel Pandian and his efforts to protect his family while confronting a criminal network.
With the new poster declaring that Tiger Muthuvel Pandian is back in action, “Jailer 2” is scheduled to open in theatres on October 15, 2026.
