Jacob Elordi Reportedly Offered James Bond Role as Next Film Remains in Very Early Development
‘Who will be the next James Bond?’ is an eternal question. Ever since news broke that a new Bond film is in the works, audiences have been eager to know who will step into the iconic role. The announcement that the franchise will now move forward under Amazon excited fans even more. Now, it appears the makers may have finally found their new secret agent in Jacob Elordi. Industry chatter suggests he has already been offered the role, with a production timeline reportedly in place.
For months, several names have been bandied about. Last year, Variety reported that Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland and Harris Dickinson were among the three actors on Amazon’s wish list. However, the “Wuthering Heights” star has consistently been seen as the frontrunner. Now, Deuxmoi has claimed on its official Instagram handle that Amazon has offered the part to Elordi and is planning to go on floors later this year.

The report does not confirm whether Elordi has accepted the role, but it states that filming could begin in October 2026. Taking forward the legacy from where Daniel Craig left it in “No Time to Die” will be no small task.
However sometime after they posted the update, they clarified that nothing is locked yet and the search is still on in a new post, where they wrote, "Several sources tell Deuxmoi that despite rumors tying Jacob Elordi and Callum Turner to the franchise, the next James Bond hasn’t been cast and the process allegedly isn’t fully underway. A few actors remain in the mix, but nothing is locked. Sources reiterate, if you’re placing bets, the smart money stays on a British lead."
Back in 2023, Elordi had addressed the Bond rumors. When asked by Extra about the speculation, he said, “That’s beautiful… I just like that people may want to put me in their movies. That makes me really glad.”
Meanwhile, Elordi has also been in the spotlight for playing Heathcliff in “Wuthering Heights” opposite Margot Robbie, who portrays Catherine. His performance has drawn significant attention, even as the overall reception to the project remains mixed.
