Jackson Wang’s Top 7 Songs You Should Have On Your Playlist

Jackson Wang from China. An idol, musician, songwriter, former fencer, a gentleman and a mamma’s boy. Over the years, Jackson has emerged as one of the most popular solo artists from the world of K-Pop with his independent label, Team Wang. His hustle is inspiring to say the least, and his authenticity has touched hearts. As he turns 32, here is a look at his seven songs that every music buff should check out…

‘100 Ways’
Jackson Wang paid homage to his Chinese roots with this song that is a combination of synth-pop and deep house. The singer’s artistic vision was for the world to see as he created a music video telling the story of a dead Chinese general and his beloved in afterlife. Robust beats, clean dance moves and an aesthetically pleasing video make it an outright winner.

‘LMLY’

This song by Jackson Wang is for karaoke parties. “LMLY” has the retro 80s sound, with elements of disco-pop and synth-pop. The music video was also a hit with global fans. It reminded people of the old Hong Kong movies of the 90s with Jackson looking like the perfect teen crush.

‘Internet Money - Drive You Home’

One of the most emotional songs from his discography, “Internet Money - Drive You Home,” is alternative R&B with elements of pop. The plus point is the emotional heartfelt lyrics with Jackson’s no-holds barred performance in the video. After this song came out, fans began asking for that acting debut.

‘Alone’

Jackson Wang has been known for his artistic storytelling and “Alone” proved that quite early in his career. The song, a mix of hip-hop and R&B had a deep sense of melancholy. He has been vocal about his struggles as an idol and “Alone” reflected the same.

'Bullet to the Heart'

This song is from his 2019 album, “Mirrors,” and is one of his first creations as a solo artist. It showed Jackson in a straightjacket trapped in his own emotional turmoil. The song was a mix of pop-rap and R&B. Later, he spoke about how songs in that phase of his life were a reflection of his mental state and he is much happier now.

‘Papillon’

Jackson Wang deleted the video from his channel due to some brand endorsement issues. The song is the closest to idol music ever made by him. It has a very strong bassline with robust rhythms.

‘Blow’

This song dominated by rock music is a visual feast from the word go. Jackson again proved that his artistry is no joke in this intricately choreographed number. It is from his 2022 album, “MAGIC MAN.”

The singer was in India last year and did a number of interactions with the Indian media. He has always been a fan of Indian music and films. Jackson Wang is busy on his tour and thanked fans last night for all the love showered on him.
