It’s Nagarjuna Akkineni Vs Venkatesh Daggubati And Fahadh Faasil At The Sankranthi 2027 Box-Office

Nagarjuna Akkineni’s production house, Annapurna Studios, has announced the superstar’s next on social media without disclosing the details of the cast and crew. The makers have locked January 15 as the release date, as it coincides with Sankranthi 2027.

Taking to social media, the production house wrote, “Vasivadi Tassadiyya. If Soggalu comes for coming 15th January 2027 Sankranti, the festival will be more colorful right. Mark the date (sic).”

In the Telugu film industry, Sankranthi Festival is among the most competitive windows for movies, as it garners record footfalls.

However, the untitled venture is likely to face stiff competition at the box office as director Anil Ravipudi’s massy entertainer featuring Venkatesh Daggubati and Fahadh Faasil is slotted for the same date. It is expected to go on the floors soon.

Talking about the release date of Nagarjuna’s next, it carries a great significance in the actor’s career as his blockbuster “Soggade Chinni Nayana” had arrived on the same date in 2016. In fact, its sequel “Bangarraju” costarring Naga Chaitanya, Ramya Krishnan and Krithi Shetty, had also arrived on the Sankranthi weekend in 2022.

The movie is expected to be directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, who previously collaborated with Nagarjuna for “Soggade Chinni Nayana”. However, his participation in the project is yet to be officially announced by the filmmakers.

Currently, Nagarjuna is busy with his 100th film, tentatively titled “#King100”, which is being directed by Ra Karthik of “Nitham Oru Vaanam” fame. The venture is expected to be an action entertainer with a dash of emotional storytelling. Music for this film will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP).

It is reported that Akhil Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya could also be part of this landmark project.
