‘Irandu Vaanam’: Vishnu Vishal, Mamitha Baiju’s Romance is a Work Of Art in New Poster Shared by Director Ram Kumar

In 2018, Vishnu Vishal and Ram Kumar’s “Ratsasan” captured the imagination of every cinephile in India. People went gaga over the taut thriller where a serial killer trapped school girls with an ingenious method. The duo are back with “Irandu Vaanam,” which translates into Two Skies. It is a summer release and the makers unveiled a new poster today. And it is pretty as a picture. We can see the winding roads of a tea garden in the background with Mamitha Baiju’s character standing against a wall painted with lovely artwork. It has the same dreamy vibe of Dulquer Salmaan’s “Charlie,” which was a tender exploration of love, self and compassion. Sharing the look on his Instagram handle, Vishnu Vishal wrote, “Had to come back from a break because my team of #IranduVaanam decided to drop this beautiful poster…We are coming to theatres this summer. A magical ride loading.” 

The movie is supposed to be a fantasy romance. It is a genre that is not much attempted in Indian cinema. Vishnu Vishal’s character seems to be that of an artist while Mamitha Baiju looks like a young woman out to discover herself. They are yet to announce the release date of the film.

We all know that “Ek Din,” starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi is coming to theatres on May 1. It is also in the fantasy-romance space. With “Irandu Vaanam” also being in the same genre fans should be intrigued. The musical score for the film has been done by Dibhu Ninan Thomas. 

Fans will be happy to know that Ram Kumar and Vishnu Vishal are also working on the script of “Ratsasan 2”. The duo want to bring forth a thriller that does justice to the original film. Mamitha Baiju is looking forward to the release of Dhanush’s “Kara,” where she plays Selli. The actress is also a part of “Jana Nayagan” with Thalapathy Vijay.
