IMAX Release For Yash’s ‘Toxic’ Still Unconfirmed For Now; ‘Discussions Still On’ (EXCLUSIVE)

There's heated buzz in trade circles about "Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups" getting an IMAX release, following the release of IMAX's Investor Relations Presentation, last night (Feb. 25, 2026).

The film's name featured on a slide titled 'Expected Local Language (LL) Slate' along with "Ramayana Pt 1". And this inclusion has sent trade watchers and fans into wild celebration mode, ahead of "Toxic"'s big clash with "Dhurandhar: The Revenge."

There is no official confirmation on the same from either "Toxic" or IMAX. And given the disclaimer at the end of the slide, everything about this a-ha moment remains up in the air, for the time being at least.

The disclaimer clearly states that any film's mention on the page "does not reflect fully confirmed and complete listing of all titles planned to be played across the IMAX network in select markets."

Which simply means this in layman terms, spells out a source in the know. "It is true that the makers of 'Toxic' were indeed in early talks for having an IMAX release, but nothing else is confirmed. Discussions are still on and it isn't final until either party to the matter says that it is. That will only happen after either signs on the dotted line and/or issues a statement, confirming the same. That hasn't happened yet."

The waiting game continues for fans of "Toxic."
