Ha Young Exits ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call’ Seasons 2 and 3
Korean actor Ha Young has officially stepped away from the upcoming sequels of the medical drama, “The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call”. After initial reports by My Daily said she has decided not to participate in the next two seasons, the OTT platform confirmed it.
Netflix said, as reported by Star News, “Ha Young has decided not to appear in the follow-up to ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,’ and we respect her decision.” This follows her recent controversy involving her great-grandfather’s possible pro-Japanese connections.

The show’s next seasons are believed to begin filming in October, which the author of the original web novel, Lee Nak Joon, spoke about during an appearance on a TV show. The digital platform refused to confirm the filming schedule.
The show’s makers have not yet commented on whether they will look for a new female lead to replace her as Cheon Jang Mi or whether her character will be written off completely. When it was released in January 2025, the series topped Netflix’s Global Top 10 list for non-English TV shows and soon confirmed plans for two follow-up seasons.

“The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call” follows a genius trauma surgeon, Baek Kang Hyuk (Ju Ji Hoon), who is transferred to a university hospital’s emergency team. While leading it, he is joined by a fellow named Yang Jae Won (Choo Young Woo) and a skilled nurse, Cheon (Ha Young). The three form a formidable trauma unit at the hospital.
The Korean actor is known to be currently filming “The Long Shot Trial” for SBS with Lee Je Hoon, and will wrap it up on September 3. Her next steps remain unclear at the moment. She was last seen in “Our Sticky Love” alongside Jung Hae In.
