Gashmeer Mahajani Turns Producer, Casts Sai Tamhankar Opposite Him (Exclusive)
Gashmeer Mahajani, known for his work across TV, films and web series, is making his debut as a producer in the Marathi film industry. Variety India has learned that Mahajani’s first Marathi production, a romantic action drama, will be announced within a week. Sai Tamhankar has been cast opposite him.
Mahajani will soon wrap up the schedule for the finite TV show “108 Base Hospital Uri,” in which he plays an Army officer and a surgeon. Erica Fernandes is his leading lady in the upcoming show.

As for his Marathi production, while the plot remains under wraps, Mahajani is keen to push the boundaries in terms of content. He wants to bring to screen a story that is bold in its storytelling and fresh for Marathi audiences. This is also the first time he will be acting with Sai Tamhankar.
In the past, he has acted in Marathi films such as “Deool Band” (2015), “Bonus” (2020), and “Sarsenapati Hambirrao” (2020). The actor made his debut in Hindi films with "Muskurake Dekh Zara" (201), and was later seen in "Panipat" (2019). Vishal Furia’s “Chhorii 2” (2025), which also starred Nushrratt Bharuccha, Saurabh Goyal and Soha Ali Khan, had him in the lead role. Besides web shows and TV serials, the actor has also been a part of reality shows like "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10" and "Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14."
Sai Tamhankar was seen in May 2026 in the Marathi film “Tumbadchi Manjula,” which was a remake of the Kannada blockbuster “Su From So.” She had one more release this year, "Bol Bol Rani."
