Former ENHYPEN Member Heeseung Debuts Solo Era as EVAN

Lee Heeseung has launched his solo era under a new name, EVAN and new official social media channels and unveiled new profile images. The new visuals has BELIFT LAB describing them as “capturing the purest form of an artist at the very beginning of his identity, before any external definition is applied.”

“EVAN is a name I’ve cherished since childhood, one that holds many of my most precious memories,” shared the artist. “Through this name, I hope to reach fans with music that fully expresses my most honest and natural self.”

Since debuting in 2020 as HEESEUNG of ENHYPEN, EVAN has been recognized for his vocal tone and range as well as his  stage presence. Writing and producing tracks such as “Highway 1009” and “Dial Tragedy,” his work has been recognized for musical depth and artistry.

The former ENHYPHEN member, whose exit from the group sent shockwaves through ENGENE (the group's fandom) had fans arguing that the artist could do both - be in the group and have a solo career - and believed that his agency hadn't done enough to ensure that.

In a note on Weverse, Heeseung mentioned that he did not wish to hamper the activities of ENHYPEN as he pursued his solo work. He said it would be unfair to prioritize himself before the group. Fans again called out the agency for the schedules of the boy band that did not allow them flexibility to pursue solo careers as well.

However, EVAN allayed those fears during a fan call, while confirming that he is working on his solo project. He also hinted that the new album might come out in May.

With his solo branding now unveiled, EVAN is set to introduce a new dimension of his artistry, building on his established reputation as a versatile musical powerhouse.

ENHYPEN is now functioning as a six-member team. The current members are Sunghoon, Jungwon, Sunoo, Jay, Jake and Ni-ki.
