‘Focker-In-Law’ Trailer: Ariana Grande Joins Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro for a New Round of Focker Family Chaos
By Sakshi Navare,
Sixteen years after the Fockers last brought their particular brand of family dysfunction to the big screen, “Focker-In-Law” is putting Ben Stiller’s Greg Focker on the other side of the in law equation.
The new trailer for the fourth film in the “Meet the Parents” franchise introduces Ariana Grande as Olivia Jones, the fiancée of Greg and Pam Focker’s now grown up son Henry, played by Skyler Gisondo. But Olivia is far from the nervous outsider Greg once was when he first met Robert De Niro’s intimidating Jack Byrnes.
A former FBI hostage negotiator, Olivia appears remarkably equipped to handle the famously chaotic Byrnes Focker family. She quickly wins over Jack, who subjects her to the franchise’s signature lie detector test, while Greg finds himself increasingly suspicious of his son’s seemingly perfect future wife.

The trailer plays directly with the franchise’s original premise. In 2000’s “Meet the Parents,” Greg was the anxious outsider desperately trying to win the approval of his future father in law. More than two decades later, the dynamic has shifted, with Greg now confronting the prospect of a new member entering the family.
That role reversal forms the basis of the new film’s central comic conflict, as Greg and Olivia find themselves increasingly at odds while the Focker and Byrnes families prepare for the next generation’s wedding.
“Focker-In-Law” marks the first entry in the franchise since 2010’s “Little Fockers.” Stiller, De Niro, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner and Teri Polo return, while Grande joins the ensemble alongside Skyler Gisondo, Beanie Feldstein and Eduardo Franco.
The film is written and directed by John Hamburg, who co wrote all three previous films in the franchise. Jay Roach, director of the original trilogy, also returns as a producer.
The “Meet the Parents” franchise began in 2000 and went on to spawn “Meet the Fockers” in 2004 and “Little Fockers” in 2010, collectively grossing more than $1 billion worldwide.
“Focker-In-Law” will release in Indian cinemas on November 27, 2026.
