FACT CHECK: Are Samantha And Nayanthara In the Running For Salman Khan’s Upcoming Films? (EXCLUSIVE)
Strong rumours about Samantha Ruth Prabhu being signed on for a film with Salman Khan, directed by her husband Raj Nidimoru along with Krishna DK. The racy superhero actioner was to go on floors by 2026-end. It is believed that Salman will be play a reluctant superhero in semi-retirement, in keeping with his desire to work on scripts that were age-appropriate.
Also, what apparently appealed to Salman about the script was he was not going to wear a cape or a mask like Batman or even the homegrown Krrish. He was going to portray a regular guy coping with day-to-day challenges while proving his might to the world at large. It is this realism that allegedly worked for the superstar who was now weary of playing unrealistic characters that were not doing well at the box office.
In recent times, given his challenges at the box-office, the superstar is keen to explore new options with directors from the South Indian film industry. It was being speculated that he had blocked bulk dates for this upcoming shoot in the latter half of this year.

The film is aimed for a 2027 release and generated a lot of excitement on social media. Apparently, the producers were having detailed discussions with the actor in a bid to lock his dates at the earliest. This collaboration has generated a huge buzz as it was a fresh pairing and one of the first films that Samantha was planning to work on post her marriage with Raj.
However, when Variety India reached out to producer-director Raj Nidimoru, he denied the rumours outright, with a terse “Not at all,” putting an end to relentless incorrect information doing the rounds.
Another high-budget project, starring Salman Khan, produced by Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Padipally, supposedly to have begun shooting post April. It was also claimed that this film would be released on Eid 2027. Buzz is, it features an ensemble cast with actors from Bollywood as well as the South Indian film industry with Nayanthara being cast opposite Salman. However a source close to the development has vehemently denied rumours of Nayanthara being cast for the film.
