The big screen in 2026 has been a haven for romance, bringing a wave of fresh on-screen pairings like those in “Chand Mera Dil” and “Ek Din.” Keeping the momentum alive, Veer Pahariya and Aafiya Sayed are teaming up for the upcoming romantic comedy “Prem Keetanu.” An exclusive picture from the film gives audiences a glimpse of their vibrant chemistry, ahead of the trailer.
While Pahariya made his acting debut with “Sky Force” (2025), “Prem Keetanu” marks the introduction of Aafiya Sayed to Hindi cinema. She is among the key new faces stepping in front of the screen this year. Sayed is the daughter of producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s sister, Afeefa Nadiadwala Sayed.

For Sayed, the film marks a significant big-screen launch, as she steps into a project that carries strong audience recall as the official adaptation of the 2024 Malayalam romantic-comedy blockbuster “Premalu.” The original, directed by Girish A D and starring Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, became a breakout success with its easy humor, youthful relationships and relatable take on contemporary romance.
The Hindi adaptation shifts the setting to the UP-NCR belt, retaining the coming-of-age spirit while placing its characters in a North Indian setting. The film explores youthful romance, friendship and the messy process of growing up.
“Prem Keetanu” is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2. Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and written by Deepak Kingrani, the film also features Aparshakti Khurana, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay in pivotal roles.
