‘Drishyam 3’: Mohanlal Shares New Poster Of Jeethu Joseph’s Thriller Confirming New Release Date
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal took to his Instagram page to announce that “Drishyam 3” is going to come in theatres on May 21. There were reports that it would be moved from April and this has confirmed the same. It is coming to cinema halls on the occasion of Mohanlal’s birthday. The movie is the third part of the successful franchise around the life of Georgekutty (Mohanlal) who hides a murder in the most perfect manner. It seems “Drishyam 3” takes off four years after the sequences of the second film. The makers felt that the story of Georgekutty could be explored more and hence went in for part three. The budget of the movie is more than a hundred crore.

Pen Studios have put in Rs 100 crore into “Drishyam 3” through Aashirvad Cinemas. They confirmed the same via their social media handle. Some days back, filmmaker Jeethu Joseph addressed criticism around the technical quality of the “Drishyam” films that many compared to TV serials.
He said that while other films used new techniques in lighting and other aspects, he preferred the touch of realism in his stories. If “Drishyam 3” works at the box office, it will be a hat-trick for Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph. The Malayalam superstar finished his shoot for “Drishyam 3” last year.
Amazon Prime Video has also sent a notice that only they have exclusive streaming rights of “Drishyam 3.” The cast also includes Meena, Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil. Antony Perumbavoor is the producer of the film.
