‘Dhurandhar 2’ Gearing Toward ₹1000-Crore Milestone; Poised to Become the Highest-Ever Grosser, Beating ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘Pushpa 2’

Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar's “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” continues its dominance at the Indian box office.

The spy-action spectacle added ₹72.53 crore net over its third weekend, taking its 18-day total collection to ₹978.25 crore net across languages, including paid previews. It has earned ₹918.50 crore in Hindi, ₹38.60 crore in Telugu and ₹17.10 crore in Tamil, with its Malayalam and Kannada dubbed versions collectively adding ₹4.05 crore net.

Dhurandhar 2” has already emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time and is now nearing the ₹1000-crore benchmark, becoming the first-ever Hindi film to touch the thousand-crore milestone at the domestic box office.

The “Dhurandhar” sequel has been smashing records since it released in theaters, crossing every previous major box-office benchmark. The film has already become the third-highest-grossing Indian movie of all time, and will surpass SS Rajamouli's “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (₹1030 crore net) this week to claim the second spot. However, whether it will overtake Allu Arjun's “Pushpa 2: The Rule”, which collected approx ₹1234 crore net across languages in India, cannot be said with any certainty at this moment. Given the current trend, it's surely going to challenge the number of that film though.

The Jio Studios and B62 Studios production is also performing extremely well at international markets. It has surpassed the $25-million mark in North America and the €1-million mark in Germany, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of all time in those territories. The movie has earned nearly ₹400 crore overseas, taking its worldwide total to over ₹1620 crore gross to date.
