Box Office Weekend Winners: ‘The Odyssey’ Scores Phenomenal Numbers, ‘Dhamaal 4’ Remains Strong, ‘Lenin’ Stays Steady

The last weekend was a robust one for the Indian box office, as it crossed the ₹100 crore mark, with Hollywood’s “The Odyssey” clocking a major share. Beyond the Christopher Nolan-directed epic, films from the Hindi, Telugu and Tamil industries also performed well at the ticket windows.

‘The Odyssey’ Opens to a Phenomenal Response

Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson-starrer “The Odyssey” enjoyed a monstrous opening weekend with ₹56.75 crore. The original (English) version contributed majorly with 79% (₹44.94 crore) in the collections. The film performed best in southern India, with good support from Mumbai, Pune and the NCR.

‘Dhamaal 4’ Dominates Tier-2 and Tier-3 Centers

Despite the presence of “The Odyssey,” Ajay Devgn’s adventure comedy remained strong at the box office, especially in mass centers. The fourth installment collected ₹27.25 crore in its second weekend, and it currently stands at ₹122 crore.

‘Lenin’ Enjoys A Steady Run

After enjoying a good opening week, Akhil Akkineni’s rural action drama continued its steady run at the ticket windows. The film raked in ₹7.27 crore in its second weekend and now stands with a total collection of ₹43.92 crore.

‘Evil Dead Burn’ Sustains Its Box Office Momentum 

The supernatural horror flick has emerged as a decent success at the Indian box office. Despite the severe reduction in shows and screens due to the arrival of “The Odyssey,” “Evil Dead Burn” raked in ₹5 crore in its second weekend and now stands at a grand total of ₹26.25 crore. Interestingly, the dubbed Hindi version garnered footfalls in the theaters.

‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ Nears The End Of Theatrical Journey

The Tamil sports comedy witnessed its first big dip in its third weekend. However, the film has already emerged as a box office success. The sequel to 2022’s “Gatta Kusthi,” featuring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi, raked in ₹3.7 crore in the last weekend and now stands with ₹38.66 crore.
