Binge or Bust: 5 OTT Thriller and Comedies to Watch this Weekend

By Garima Sharma

Staying in sounds better than squeezing into a theater. Here's everything you can watch at home this weekend. I've rounded up five fresh picks: legal drama, wild true crime, messy relationships and a couple of surprises. Whether you're in the mood for a juicy heist, an action-packed thriller or want in on someone else's family drama, our list has you covered. Dim the lights, grab the snacks and let's hit play.

Relationship Goals
Director: Linda Mendoza
Cast: Pastor Michael Todd, Michael Elliot and Cory Tynan
Where to watch: Amazon Prime Video

Start with something light. Relationship Goals is a rom-com with bite. Linda Mendoza's latest has Leah Caldwell, a TV producer on the brink of becoming New York's morning show queen. Enter her ex, Jarrett Roy, who's gunning for the same job. Sparks, sabotage and razor-sharp banter fly. Mendoza brings serious O.C. energy, mixing ambition and second-chance romance for modern The Devil Wears Prada fans. Kick off your Friday night with this one if you want to laugh and forget about the real world for a while.

Cash Queens
Directors: Carine Prevot and Olivier Rosemberg
Cast: Jiselle Henderkott, Patrice Tepasso and Phany Brière Marret
Where to watch: Netflix

If you’re craving chaos, Cash Queens is the move. Five broke French women, a pile of fake moustaches and a plan to rob banks, this thing goes from desperate to downright wild in minutes. Ocean’s 8 meets Parisian punk. The dialogue snaps, the heists are tight and the friendship feels real, think Widows, but with more laughs and a little more bite. It’s pure binge fuel, especially if you love rooting for the underdog.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4
Director: Ted Humphrey and David E. Kelley
Cast: Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton and Angus Sampson
Where to watch: Netflix

Ready for courtroom chaos? The Lincoln Lawyer’s back, and this time Mickey Haller isn’t defending; he’s in the hot seat. Cops find a body in his Lincoln, and suddenly everyone wants his head. The show dives deep into legal twists, betrayals and some real gut punches. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo kills it in the lead and the plot’s packed with enough turns to keep you guessing. If you love your legal dramas fast and tense, don’t skip this.

Unfamiliar
Director: Paul Coates
Cast: Andreas Pietschmann, Laurence Rupp and Sussanne Wolff
Where to watch: Netflix

This one’s for the thriller junkies. Unfamiliar drops you into Berlin with Simon and Meret, ex-spies just trying to keep their marriage together. But then the past kicks down the door: Russian operatives, hitmen, the works. They’re forced to run, patch things up and dodge bullets. Imagine Mr & Mrs Smith, but colder, sharper and way more German. The leads are great, the action’s slick and you can blast through all six episodes in a night.

Salvador
Director: Aitor Gabilondo
Cast: Alejandro Casaseca, Luis Tosar and Fariba Sheikhan
Where to watch: Netflix

Want something that hits harder? Salvador’s your pick. Luis Tosar plays an ambulance driver who discovers his estranged daughter has fallen in with a neo-Nazi cult. He dives into the underworld to save her, fighting skinheads, his own regrets and a whole lot of danger. Tosar brings raw emotion and energy, making every scene matter. It’s tense, violent and honestly, kind of devastating. If you want your Sunday to end with a punch, go here.

That’s the lineup. All killer, no filler and less than 20 hours if you’re feeling ambitious. So, what’s playing first?
