‘Bigg Boss 20’ Contestant Rhiti Tiwari Wants To Step Out Of her Father Manoj Tiwari’s Shadow (EXCLUSIVE)
“Bigg Boss 20” contestant Rhiti Tiwari, elder daughter of actor-singer and politician Manoj Tiwari, is excited about her stint on the reality show. Manoj Tiwari was a part of “Bigg Boss Season Four.” In an exclusive conversation with Variety India, Rhiti Tiwari opens up about why she sees “Bigg Boss 20” as an opportunity to take her music to a wider audience.
She says, “Being Manoj Tiwari’s daughter is a part of who I am and not something I could take for granted. I have a surname people know, but I want people to recognize my music. My background gives me a certain visibility. But that is not the same as connecting with the listeners. A familiar surname can get you noticed once.”

Stressing that talent and hard work matter, she adds that lineage cannot compensate for that. She says, “I don’t want to spend my life proving that I didn’t have advantages. I want to prove that I can do something meaningful with the opportunity I have. My ambition is to be the rockstar that India can be proud of.”
Unlike her father, Rhiti has no interest in politics and does not intend to pursue a career in that domain. She elaborates, “Politics isn’t on the agenda for me. My world has always been music - writing, composing and creating. But now, funnily enough, I’m walking into a house where you do have to navigate a little bit of politics. I think that’s probably the closest I’ll get to it. But jokes apart, I’m really looking forward to just being myself, meeting people and letting the audience discover me for who I am.”
