‘Avengers: Doomsday’: Captain America’s Bloody Shield, a Spider-Man Tease — Inside Robert Downey Jr.’s Cryptic Easter Post
Robert Downey Jr.’s belated Easter celebration on Instagram has grabbed attention online after the actor seemingly dropped a fresh set of possible Easter eggs for “Avengers: Doomsday.” The post features Doctor Doom-themed artwork, with the villain holding an Easter basket filled with eggs — and fans are already busy decoding what each one could mean.
In the artwork shared by Downey Jr., the eggs are painted with sigils and symbols linked to several fan-favorite characters and teams from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though many of them come with notable twists. The most striking of the bunch is an egg featuring Captain America’s shield, only this one appears to be dripping with blood.

The basket also appears to include symbols tied to Black Panther, Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Namor and Shang-Chi.
However, it is the condition of some of these eggs that is drawing the most attention. The egg representing the Avengers appears cracked, while the one bearing the Fantastic Four symbol seems to be crossed out. There also appear to be two Spider-Man-themed eggs, prompting speculation that the film may feature more Spider-Man-related characters beyond Tom Holland’s Peter Parker
Given the growing buzz surrounding “Avengers: Doomsday” first official teaser in recent weeks, many fans are finding it difficult to dismiss the post as just another festive upload. The fact that the image was shared by Robert Downey Jr. himself has only intensified the speculation.
