Ananya Panday And Lakshya-starrer ‘Chand Mera Dil’ Postponed For Third Time; Locks Its New Release Date
Ananya Panday and Lakshya’s rom-com “Chand Mera Dil” has experienced multiple box office delays. Originally, the movie was set to release in 2025, but the makers postponed it to April 10, 2026, then again to May 8. Now, they have delayed it once more and announced the new release date as May 22.
Bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film is directed by Vivek Soni, who previously helmed two Netflix projects, Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dasani’s "Meenakshi Sundareshwar" and R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh-starrer "Aap Jaisa Koi" (both produced by Johar).

During the announcement of the film in November 2024, Karan had dubbed “Chand Mera Dil” as an "intense & passionate love story", writing, "Pyaar mein thoda paagal hona hi padta hai..."
Interestingly, it will lock horns with two movies, Aman Indra Kumar and Akanksha Sharma’s “Tera Yaar Hoon Main” and Bobby Deol-starrer “Bandar.”
On the professional front, Lakshya, who made an impressive debut with “Kill,” was last seen in “The Ba***ds of Bollywood,” which also featured Sahher Bambba, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Bobby Deol, Gautami Kapoor, Vijayant Kohli, Rajat Bedi and Manish Chaudhari, among others, in prominent roles.
On the other hand, Ananya was last featured in “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri” alongside Kartik Aaryan, which turned out to be a disappointing affair at the box office.
