‘AI Will Redefine Storytelling’: Vikram Malhotra on Abundantia Entertainment, invideo’s AI-Driven Film Studio Partnership (EXCLUSIVE)

Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment, one of the country’s leading film and content studios, under its Artificial Intelligence-powered storytelling division aiON has teamed up with the global AI video technology leader, invideo, to launch an AI-driven film production studio.

The announcement of this partnership was made at the India AI Film Festival (IAFF) held at the Qutub Minar, New Delhi, hosted by invideo and sponsored by Nvidia, on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026.

With the investment of ₹100 crore, this strategic partnership emerges as the largest structured commitment to AI-driven filmmaking in India to date. The two companies have collaborated to showcase how AI can empower and amplify human imagination and creativity to produce unique and entertaining film experiences for a global audience.

Talking about this defining movie, Malhotra exclusively told Variety India, “At Abundantia Entertainment, we believe that AI will redefine storytelling as mankind has known it till now. AI is set to enable and empower filmmakers to tell the stories they always wanted to but were held back by constraints of time and cost. The alliance with Sanket and his amazing team at Invideo is formed to provide leading-edge tools and tech to human creators to amplify their vision and give the best to our audience.”

The slate's production corpus comprises five AI-driven films over the next three years.

Sanket Shah, Founder & CEO of invideo, shares his goal and vision about this partnership and says, “At invideo, our mission has always been to democratize high-quality video creation through AI. Partnering with a top-notch studio like Abundantia Entertainment enables us to extend this capability into the world of high-quality filmmaking by building tools and workflows that allow creators to move from idea to cinematic expression faster and more freely than ever before. This is about accelerating and enhancing creativity, not just automating it.”

The studio is partnering in developing India’s first AI-generated Hindi feature film with “Chiranjeevi Hanuman,” which is scheduled to release in 2026. It has also announced its next AI-powered feature film, “Jai Santoshi Mata,” among several exciting films in its lineup at Abundantia aiON.
