SAG Actor Awards 2026 Winners List: Michael B. Jordan, Jessie Buckley and Catherine O’Hara Bag Top Honors
After the NAACP Image Awards, Ryan-Coogler-Michael B. Jordan’s “Sinners” bagged top honors at the SAG Actor Awards. The gangster vampire musical and period epic won Best Ensemble and Best Actor for star Jordan at the Actor Awards, formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, on March 1.
“This project is anointed and from that standpoint, we’re all anointed to be part of this incredible journey,” said Delroy Lindo, who played a part in “Sinners,” which won the best ensemble award.
Interestingly, the Actor Awards play a crucial role in influencing the Oscars, as the winners of the SAG ceremony have gone on to win the Academy Award for acting 75% of the time.
Jessie Buckley, who bagged another Best Actress at Actor Awards after her wins at the Baftas and Golden Globes for Chloé Zhao’s “Hamnet,” said, “I have been categorically changed by so many people in this room and beyond,” while accepting the trophy.
In the television category, Catherine O’Hara, who passed away in January of this year, was posthumously honored for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Comedy for “The Studio,” where she portrayed the role of a Hollywood producer.
