‘Patriot’ Unveils Revathi, Darshana Rajendran And Female Ensemble Posters On Women’s Day Ahead Of April Release
“Patriot” is easily one of the most anticipated films of the year, and the makers have now unveiled posters featuring the women of the film on the occasion of International Women's Day. The new posters follow the earlier character reveals of Mammootty and Mohanlal and spotlight Revathi, Darshana Rajendran, Sreeparvathy, Geethi Sangeetha and Grace Anthony.
The Malayalam film industry is gearing up for the release of “Patriot”, which marks the reunion of two of Indian cinema’s biggest stars — Mohanlal and Mammootty. With just a few weeks to go before its release, the makers appear to be maintaining momentum by steadily unveiling character posters and building intrigue around the project.

The newly released posters reaffirm the film’s April 23, 2026 release date. Each poster follows a distinctive thematic tone, offering glimpses into the characters. Sreeparvathy’s look carries an air of mystery, while Revathi’s poster exudes authority and power. Darshana Rajendran’s appearance stands out with short curly hair and a septum ring, hinting at a bold and layered character.
However, “Patriot” has also been making headlines for reasons beyond its promotional campaign. Reports have suggested that the film’s producers and theatre owners in Kerala are currently in discussions over revenue-sharing terms, with producers reportedly seeking a higher share. If a resolution is not reached, the film could potentially face a theatrical ban in the state. The makers have yet to officially comment on the matter, and there is currently no indication that the release date will change.
The action drama is directed and written by Mahesh Narayanan and also stars Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara and Rajeev Menon. The film’s music is composed by Sushin Shyam, with cinematography by Manush Nandan and editing by Mahesh Narayanan and Rahul Radhakrishnan.
