‘One Piece’ Season 3 Confirmed at Netflix With New Title ‘The Battle Of Alabasta,’ Set for 2027 Release

“One Piece” Season 3 has finally been confirmed by Netflix and is officially set for a 2027 release. The streamer also revealed the new title for the upcoming chapter; “One Piece: The Battle Of Alabasta” through a video shared on Instagram.

As per Nexus Point News, the official synopsis for “One Piece: The Battle Of Alabasta” reads, “War is coming for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi’s homeland. A rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves.”

It further adds, “In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi’s kingdom before it crumbles into the sand.”

Going by the synopsis, the third season is set to largely adapt the remainder of the Alabasta saga from the manga, with a major focus on the Alabasta arc. The storyline will see Monkey D. Luffy, played by Iñaki Godoy, go up against one of the biggest adversaries in the “One Piece” universe; Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello.

The second season, titled “One Piece: Into The Grand Line,” released recently and opened to positive reviews, helping maintain momentum for Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s globally loved manga and anime franchise.

“One Piece: The Battle Of Alabasta” will star Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Taz Skylar, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, Mikaela Hoover, Charithra Chandran, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Lera Abova and Joe Manganiello. New additions to the cast for Season 3 include Xolo Maridueña, Cole Escola, Awdo Awdo and Daisy Head.

The series is co-run, written and executive produced by Ian Stokes and Joe Tracz. While the new season is confirmed for 2027, Netflix has not yet announced a specific release window.
