Nivin Pauly’s ‘Prathichaya’ Announces Its Release Date; To Come A Week Before Mohanlal’s ‘Drishyam 3’
The makers of Nivin Pauly-starrer “Prathichaya” have officially locked the release date of the political thriller. The film is arriving a week after Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar 2” (March 19)
The “Sarvam Maya” actor shared the new poster with a release date as the caption reads, “A father’s legacy. A son’s destiny. “Prathichaya” arrives in cinemas on March 26. Written & Directed by B. Unnikrishnan Produced by Sree Gokulam Movies & RD Illuminations LLP.”
Known for helming films like “Pramani,” “The Thriller,” “Grandmaster,” “Mr. Fraud” and “Christopher,” among others, B. Unnikrishnan brings his signature intense narrative storytelling with “Prathichaya,” as the trailer explores the dynamics of political and moral conflicts. The voiceover of the lead star (Pauly) grabbed the attention of cinegoers as he says, "You are all waiting to hear about my success story. But am I successful? Success can sometimes be defined by your designation or pay package."
Co-produced by Baiju Gopalan and V. C. Praveen, the movie also features Sharaf U Dheen and Balachandra Menon in key roles.

“Prathichaya” is coming a week before Mohanlal’s highly anticipated “Drishyam 3,” which is releasing on April 3 at the ticket windows. Since Nivin’s film has selected the slot between “Dhurandhar 2” and “Drishyam 3,” it would be interesting to see how many screens it gets, especially in the Kerala market.
The third installment of India’s one of the most successful thriller franchises, “Drishyam 3,” also stars Meena, Asha Sharath, Siddique, Murali Gopy, and Kalabhavan Shajohn.
The Jeethu Joseph directorial continues the iconic character of Georgekutty played by Mohanlal. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, the music of the film is composed by Anil Johnson and the camera is cranked by Satheesh Kurup.
