‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ Finally Gets a September 2026 Release Date
Soon after season four of the hugely popular streaming drama dropped on Amazon Prime Video in July 2024, the makers capitalized on the momentum to announce that the franchise would expand into a feature film titled "Mirzapur: The Movie". The announcement had instantly led to excitement among fans, many of whom were curious to see how the world of “bhaukal” would translate to the big screen. More than a year and a half later, the makers have finally locked a release date.
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, "Mirzapur: The Movie" is slated to hit theaters in September 2026.

As per the latest announcement from Amazon Prime Video, the first cinematic adaptation of the hit streaming series will release nationwide on September 4, 2026. The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, and co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani under the Excel Entertainment banner.
The film brings back the franchise’s iconic characters, including Kaleen Bhaiya played by Pankaj Tripathi and Guddu Pandit portrayed by Ali Fazal, while also marking the much anticipated return of Munna Bhaiya, played by Divyenndu, one of the most beloved characters in the "Mirzapur" universe. For the first time, the cult saga will make the leap from streaming to cinemas, transforming its gritty world into a big-screen spectacle.
In addition to the core cast, "Mirzapur: The Movie" also stars Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Duggal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur, Sushant Singh, Mohit Malik, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Sonal Chauhan, Pramod Pathak and Anangsha Biswas.
Set within the same universe as the series, the film is said to be a travel back in time. While the show currently follows Guddu Pandit and Golu as they continue their pursuit of power after fleeing Mirzapur in the aftermath of the last season, the film is expected to explore earlier events in the timeline. As per rumors and leaked stills, "Mirzapur: The Movie" will unfold largely through flashbacks.
