Mahima Makwana Signs New Film, Shoot Underway in Rajasthan (EXCLUSIVE)
Actress Mahima Makwana, who made her debut with “Antim: The Final Truth” in 2021, has signed a new movie. Sources have informed us that she has been roped in by filmmaker Aasif Moyal for a movie aimed at the festival circuit. The genre is the same as Neeraj Ghaywan’s “Homebound,” which was a critical success all over the globe. Mahima Makwana has begun her shoot in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The team will be shooting there for a month. Joining her in the film is actor Rajat Barmecha. We know him from Vikramaditya Motwane’s classic 2010 movie, “Udaan,” which also starred actors Ronit Roy and Ram Kapoor.
Aasif Moyal has been a part of the film industry for some time now. He has been a part of the web series “Human,” which starred Shefali Shah and Kriti Kulhari in main roles. Moyal was one of the screenwriters for the medical thriller that got good reviews all over. The makers plan to take the film to all the major festivals in 2027. While Mahima shoots for this movie, she is also awaiting the release of her show, "Musafir Cafe."
Mahima Makwana is a known name on Indian TV with a number of serials under her belt. She was seen of late in web series like "Showtime," with Emraan Hashmi. Her web series, "Musafir Cafe" with Vikrant Massey will release shortly on Netflix. Some of the more famous ones are “Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke,” “Adhuri Kahaani Hamari,” “Rishton Ka Chakravyuh,” to name a few of them.
