By Sakshi Navare
The first look of Mamitha Baiju in Dhanush-starrer “Kara” has been dropped by the makers, and the deglam avatar of the actress comes as a surprise for cinegoers. In her filmography, Baiju has always been seen in trendy and urban looks, including in her popular movies Malayalam hit “Premalu” (2024) and Tamil blockbuster “Dude” (2025). Talking about her character poster of “Kara,” Mamitha is seen in a simple saree, sitting on the floor in a simple no-makeup appearance. This raw and rustic avatar makes it quite evident that the actress has stepped out of her comfort zone to play the character of Selli in “Kara.”
“Kara,” which marks director Vignesh Raja’s second project “, Por Thozhil.” The title of the film was announced months ago with a slogan, “Sometimes, staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive,” showcasing the essence behind the title.
