Kalki Koechlin Teams Up with Emmay Entertainment for a Horror Series (EXCLUSIVE)
Known for her unconventional, offbeat roles and impactful performances, Kalki Koechlin has showcased her versatility on streaming platforms. Her last few projects, "Kho Gaye Hum Kahan" and “Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery” turned out to be binge-worthy fare, and now the actress has signed up for a horror series with Emmay Entertainment.
Variety India has exclusively learned that the “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” star has teamed up with Nikkhil Advani, Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani-owned Emmay Entertainment for a horror web series. The show, which is expected to be true to its genre, is based on an urban legend in an urban setting.
The series is being directed by Ananya Banerjee and Gauravv K. Chawla, who earlier helmed “Adhura” and “Kaun Banegi Shikharwati” for Emmay Entertainment. While the 2023 horror show premiered on Prime Video and featured Rasika Dugal, Ishwak Singh and Rahul Dev in prominent roles, the 2022 comedy-drama Zee5 show starred Naseeruddin Shah, Raghubir Yadav, Lara Dutta, Soha Ali Khan, Kritika Kamra and Anya Singh in lead roles.

Chawla has long been associated with Emmay Entertainment. Before making his directorial debut with Saif Ali Khan, Chitrangda Singh, Rohan Vinod Mehra and Radhika Apte-starrer “Baazaar” in 2018 (also co-produced by the same banner), he had assisted Nikkhil Advani in “Chandni Chowk to China” and “Patiala House.”
Coming back to Kalki’s upcoming horror show, it is expected to be filled with intriguing and thrilling elements, with some very spooky sequences.
Kalki Koechlin was last seen in 2025 in “Nesippaya,” directed by Vishnuvardhan. The Tamil romantic action thriller had Akash Murali, Aditi Shankar, R. Sarathkumar, Prabhu and Khushbu in other key roles. In the movie, Kalki portrayed the character of Indirani Jahan, aka Indira, a Portugal-based lawyer.
