Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Mess’ Signs Pratik Gandhi In Lead Role (EXCLUSIVE)
On Tuesday, Hrithik Roshan and Prime Video India announced "Mess," a comedy film, marking their second collaboration following the thriller series "Storm." Now, Variety India has exclusively learned that “Scam 1992” star Pratik Gandhi will play the lead role in the feature, directed by "Crew" fame Rajesh A. Krishnan.
Gandhi will play a man with extreme Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in this high-concept narrative blending comedy with tension. The film follows a motley group of robbers who, upon invading the family house of the man with OCD, slowly realize it's not the family but them who need to survive this night-long standoff. The film features an ensemble of delightful characters, with Gandhi at the center, showcasing again his flair for comedy following his brilliant comedic performance in Kunal Kemmu's “Madgaon Express."
Based on an original screenplay by Paul Soter, with an adapted screenplay and dialogues by Kapil Sawant, “Mess” is said to be a thrilling amalgamation of comedy and chaos, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats. Speaking at the time of the announcement, Hrithik promised this film "would resonate with audiences who appreciate fresh, unconventional stories that push the boundaries of the genre.” Shooting is scheduled to commence in a few months.
