Gorillaz Shares US, Canada Tour Dates, Declares, ‘Next Up, India. Dates Coming Soon’
Things are moving as expected, when it comes to The Gorillaz. The UK-based virtual band dropped "The Mountain," their ninth studio album a few days ago, shared an eight-minute short film called "The Mountain, The Moon Cave and The Sad God" and has already announced upcoming UK, US and Canada tour dates for The Mountain Tour 2026 to promote the album. And under their post on the 'US and Canada' announcement, quietly shared a rejoinder: "Next up, India. Dates coming soon."
While fans lapped up the declaration readily, including a certain ticketing platform, the virtual band's official website which has tour dates listed from Mar. through Dec. 2026 doesn't list a single date in India... yet.
The first date slate, dropped on the band's socials Oct. 22, 2025 and spanned a wide window between Mar. 20 and Apr. 2 with venues across the United Kingdom, including an additional date on June 20.
The second, shared yesterday, had them share dates for US & Canada from Sep. to Oct. 2026 with a pinned comment declaring, "Next up, India. Dates coming soon."
The virtual band's official website, however, has only one visible gap in their calendar: the month of May. June, July and August see them in Europe, with only one stop in Asia (Park Live Almaty in Kazakhstan) and Nov.-Dec. in South America.
The Gorillaz's latest offering, at 15 tracks long, is packed to the gills with artists and collaborators like Asha Bhosle, Anoushka Shankar, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, Bizzarrap, Ajay Prasanna, Asha Puthli, Omar Souleyman and Yasiin Bey among others.
Whenever Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett do decide to bring Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D down to India again, we'll be waiting to sing along to "The Mountain"'s most played songs and watch them take the stage with their collaborators.
