From ‘Love & War’ And ‘Ramayana’ To ‘Animal Park’ And ‘Brahmastra 2’: Ranbir Kapoor Shares Updates On His Massive Lineup

By ,

Going by the number of big films that Ranbir Kapoor has in the pipeline, we can expect to see a lot more of the actor on the big screen than we have of late. Despite being one of the busiest actors, RK has not been seen in the theaters since his universal blockbuster “Animal,” which was released in December 2023.

In a recent Instagram Live, for his lifestyle brand, the 43-year-old star shared major updates about his big-ticket films “Love & War”, “Ramayana,” “Brahmastra 2” and “Animal Park,” including their release schedules and production plans

‘Love & War’ postponed and ‘Ramayana’ to be his next

RK confirmed that the epic love story, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, has been postponed from its earlier Eid Weekend release plans, but he did not reveal the new release date. He shared that his next release is “Ramayana,” which will arrive during the Diwali weekend.

“Love & War” will now avoid a clash with Ranveer Singh starrer “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” and Yash’s “Toxic,” as both biggies are arriving on March 19 at the ticket windows.

During his Instagram Live, Ranbir shared that “Love & War” will release after “Ramayana.” However, it would be interesting to see whether the makers will now aim for December 2026 or shift to 2027.

During the live, a fan took a jibe at RK, using the signature catchphrase, ‘See you at the movies’, and commented, “Ek superstar tha jo, ‘See you at the movies,' bolke 3-4 saal gayab ho jaata hai (There was a superstar once who would always say see you at the movies, but then would disappear for the next 3-4 years)!” Kapoor took this good-humoredly and replied, "Yaar, it's my bad luck only! Whenever I start a movie, it is usually… People finish movies in 4-6 months, but my films take much longer. But I hope that when it releases, you’ll forget all that time it has taken. I assure you that I have been working really hard for the last 2-3 years. I have been working very hard. So, I guess good things take time!”

On ‘Animal Park’ And ‘Brahmastra 2’

The actor shared that Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial “Animal Park” will go on floors in mid-2027, while the highly anticipated “Brahmastra” will soon begin production. “‘Brahmastra 2’ is in the works; we shall start that movie very soon, sooner than you expect,” RK said in the Instagram Live.

Is Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani Sequel Happening?

The versatile star also responded to fans asking for updates regarding “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” sequel, and shared, “A lot of you guys want part 2 but there are so many new movies, new directors and new ideas to work with. I think ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ had the perfect end. So, I don’t think it warrants a part 2.”
