Former BIGBANG Rapper T.O.P. Teams Up With Actress Nana For A Music Video

BigBang’s T.O.P. is back with a new music video, and this time, he’s teaming up with Nana from After School. T.O.P. (REAL NAME: Choi Seung-hyun) was seen in “Squid Game 2” as Thanos. This is T.O.P.’s first solo project in years. He was a rapper, musician, and songwriter in BigBang, one of the globally famous boy groups launched by YG Entertainment in 2006. 

For T.O.P., it’s his first solo project after “Doom Dada”, his critically acclaimed track in 2013. A prolific rapper and songwriter, he had been lying low ever since BigBang’s scandals made them notorious in South Korea. In 2017, T.O.P. had received a suspended sentence for smoking marijuana. 

He teased the new album on social media last month, and fans have been buzzing ever since, waiting for more details. T.O.P. ended his contract with YG Entertainment in 2022 and announced that he had left BigBang in 2023. T.O.P. said his bandmates had suffered enough due to his drug scandal, and he felt remorseful about the same. He began to focus on acting, and his outing as Thanos in “Squid Game 2” was a hit. Fans of BigBang known as V.I.Ps were keenly awaiting his return in the field of music. On January 1, 2026 he informed his fans that he will be back with a new album. It seems the tentative title of the new album is “Another Dimension”. 

Nana’s (REAL NAME: Im Jin-ah) agency Sublime has confirmed to Korean news outlet OSEN that she is featuring with T.O.P. in the music video. It was filmed in 2025. 

A little background on Nana: she started out with After School in 2009 on “Because of You,” then joined Orange Caramel in 2010 with Raina and Lizzy. These days, she’s better known as an actress and model, still under Sublime. This is her first music video gig since Baek Ji-young’s track “Indeed, It Was Love” in December 2024. While T.O.P. and Nana have not worked together prior to this, they know a common manager. 

The new music video kicks off T.O.P.’s album, his first music in three years after co-writing and composing “Still Life” for BigBang in 2022. The exact release date has not been announced as yet. Nana, is known as a good actor with K-dramas like “Mask Girl” in her repertoire. 

For T.O.P. this is a new start in the world of music ahead of media reports on how BigBang might reunite for their 20th anniversary.
