For Two-And-A Half Years I Have Been Living, Feeling And Struggling Through ‘Pagalpan’: Vishal Mishra

Vishal Mishra pulled off something huge in Goa. Lakhs of fans tuned in for his live listening party, over 500K views, actually, making it India’s most-watched live music stream ever. Not bad for an album launch. This was more than just a new single, too. Mishra dropped "Pagalpan", his first full album, after everyone had been buzzing about his lead single, "Kya Bataun Tujhe" online. Now, all 16 tracks are out on T-Series with Bhushan Kumar in his corner, showing Mishra’s moving from hit singles to making a bigger statement.

"Pagalpan" wasn’t a quick project. Mishra spent two and a half years pulling it together, pouring his own stories and feelings into each track. You can hear it. The title track stands out with dark pop vibes and other songs just lay love bare, ups, downs, all of it. The energy in Goa was unreal. Mishra actually watched the view count tick up while he performed and later admitted it felt surreal.

He said, "It was overwhelming to see so many people join the "Pagalpan" live listening party last night. Watching it cross 500K+ views and become the highest viewed live ever in India is something I genuinely never imagined. There was a time when I was just hoping one song of mine would reach people and yesterday I saw lakhs of listeners come together at the same time. That feeling is hard to put into words. "Pagalpan" has been 2.5 years of my life living it, feeling it, sometimes struggling through it. To see that kind of love from the very first note meant everything to me."

Bhushan Kumar said, "Crossing 500K plus views and becoming the highest viewed music live stream in India reflects the deep connection audiences have formed with Vishal and his music."

He has always been a favorite voice in India, but "Pagalpan" feels bigger, like he is finally blending all these languages and sounds into something that travels. That record-breaking stream? It’s proof that when an artist puts everything on the table, people show up.
