Flipperachi on rescheduling Indian touring debut: ‘My team is working on new dates’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Flipperachi, the rapper behind "Fa9la", which featured in "Dhurandhar", was due to perform in India for the first time, in Mumbai on Mar. 13 and in Bengaluru on March 14-15. But because of escalating tensions in the Middle East, that won't be possible.
We reached out to Flipperachi (real name: Hussam Aseem) to check on his well-being. He exclusively told Variety India, "While I was excited to be in India this weekend to perform and meet the fans, I unfortunately had to postpone the tour due to unforeseen circumstances. The team is working on new dates and I’ll hopefully be in India soon."
"Fa9la" went viral after the release of "Dhurandhar" in December 2025, it sparked off huge interest in the artist among Indian fans of the Khaleeji song.

The song did such good streaming numbers that Flip became a Guinness World Record holder for 'Most Billboard Arabia Charts Topped at No. 1 by a Single Song'. When we last spoke, he mentioned that he was "really looking forward to coming to India and watching 'Dhurandhar'" on the big screen.
In parting, during our current conversation, Flip thanked his fans in India "for showing me so much love these past few months. I can’t wait to meet you guys and rock the stage."

But how soon will that happen? Girish ‘Bobby’ Talwar (Founder: Rebellion Management and Entertainment) walks us through their plans for the artist. He tells Variety India, "As Flipperachi’s exclusive agents in India, we had an incredibly exciting calendar planned for the rest of the year. Beyond the announced shows, there were several additional live dates, private performances, and multiple brand collaborations lined up."
Talwar further adds, "The scale of demand we’ve seen for Flip in India over the past few months has been phenomenal. ‘FA8LA’ has not only become the biggest song to come out this year, but also one of the biggest viral hits globally and that momentum has translated into massive interest from fans, promoters, and brands across the country."
Understandably, because of the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East, "a number of these plans have been put on hold for now. However, the love coming from India has been incredible, and once regional tensions ease and travel normalises, fans can absolutely expect Flip to come down and perform here,” he concludes.
