‘Dhurandhar 2’ Registers Historic Paid Premiere Numbers; Maharashtra and Delhi-NCR Emerge as the Biggest Contributors

Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh's most anticipated action spectacle, "Dhurandhar: The Revenge," is gearing up for a historic start at the box office, with its paid premieres setting a new benchmark.

As per the latest figures, the film has sold tickets worth approximately 23.46 crore gross and 19.71 crore net for its paid premiere shows. Based on the current pace of bookings, the final premiere day figure is expected to reach 35 crore gross, marking the biggest paid preview collection in Indian cinema history — and surpassing the previous record-holder, "They Call Him OG," which had collected nearly 25 crore gross from paid previews last year.

"Dhurandhar 2" has sold approx. 4.32 lakh tickets in 5400 shows across 171 cities for paid previews starting from 5 pm on March 18. The film has already set a record for the highest advance at the national cinema chains, selling 2.8 lakh tickets so far.

Among the national multiplex chains, PVR Inox is leading the advance bookings with 15.11 crore net in ticket sales, while Cinepolis has sold tickets worth 3.29 crore net.

State-wise, Maharashtra has emerged as the strongest market for the spy actioner, collecting approx. 5.14 crore in the paid previews. Delhi-NCR follows with 3.86 crore, while Karnataka has contributed 2.66 crore in advance sales. Top contributors for Dhurandhar 2's paid preview bookings are:

Meanwhile, the nationwide advance booking for the regular shows has also opened today across the country, and the response has been phenomenal, to say the least. We will update about today's advance booking status by the evening.

Based on the trade data, Variety India is predicting an opening day collection of 115 crore gross across languages in India and 200 crore worldwide, including the paid previews.
